How did Frank & Friends Pickleball Start?

Frank & Friends began as a simple idea shared between co-founders Frank Iannelli and Logon Collins during a casual happy hour. Logon had recently moved to Fort Worth and was looking for a unique, relationship-driven way to build a strong business network. Frank shared the same vision and brought the established local connections to help make it possible.

Together, they created a weekly experience that blended friendly competition with genuine business connection. Frank invited his network and spread the word, while Logon coordinated with Courtside Kitchen to secure a consistent Wednesday evening slot. The combination of consistency, energy, and the social nature of pickleball quickly set the group apart.

What started with just a few players grew rapidly, soon reaching 30 or more weekly attendees across industries like finance, accounting, law, private equity, real estate, and professional services. As participation increased, Frank & Friends expanded its impact by partnering with organizations such as the Association for Corporate Growth and raising funds for charitable causes including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, UT Southwestern, the North Texas Community Foundation, and Cornerstone Assistance Network.

Today, Frank & Friends stands as one of Fort Worth’s most distinctive networking communities, built on the shared vision Frank and Logon set in motion: bring people together, create real connections, and have fun along the way.
